An Update from Yanji

Well that was quick. I am re-posting this 'comment' from Coach Mac (Michelle McKittrick) on the front page as I know you will all want to see it...

Jim called this morning and said he couldn't get an email out, so he wanted me to update you guys on all the fun. On Saturday most everyone climbed to the top of the Great Wall...even Karissa (powered by her own 2 tiny feet) pretty impressive. After having an informal chapel for Easter, the group visited the North Korean Border yesterday where they were greeted by a wet snow fall. Monday they begin teaching in the classrooms. Their days will be long, exhausting and profoundly fulfilling.

We received a text from Tyler to say that everything is going great. He also said that "it's so different over here. Traffic is crazy...and you think it's bad in LA! Ha, ha!" Thanks for creating this blog - it is nice to be able to share in all of the comments and experiences from China :) The McGraths

Megan Wisler called us today and said the Great Wall was absolutely amazing. She said the steps were rather steep and she took lots of pictures. In Yanji she did cross into North Korea via a bridge, they were allowed to walk about 10 ft over the border. The hotel sounds very interesting. She is excited about teaching classes today. She likes the sticky rice!

I'm so excited the team is having a great time seeing the sights and teaching! The teachers and students are such sweet people and I have fond memories and feelings of and for them. Thanks kids for watching my little Karissa when "Mr. Lee" is super busy. We miss her terribly, especially little brother Micah. Keep the pictures coming!!

Thinking good thoughts:)
